~A GREAT MISSIONARY LEAVING~

The missionary sitting with us is Elder Lewis who was getting transferred. We had grown to love having him come over & give us wonderful lessons plus our boys really liked him as well so it was sad to have him at our house for one last lesson & to say goodbye. The pic of the 2 Elders is the missionaries in our ward but unfortunately Elder Lewis was leaving & Elder Rice was staying & getting a new companion. It won't be the same though, that's for sure. The last pic is a picture of our church in Waialua which is about a 10 minute drive from where we live & has so many wonderful ward member that attend there & we are grateful for that.

Danny was very glad to be here celebrating Christmas with his boys. He got a 49ers book, some movies, a 49er photo album with his pic's of Iraq in it & a 49ers rubix cube amongst many other things.

Robert got lots of toys that make noise, noise, noise & drives us straight towards the tylenol. Boy are we regreting santas decision on some of them.

Lil' Danny opening up the Wii from Santa. He was so excited & screamed like a little girl. His face at that moment was PRICELESS!!

Mindy opening up presents. She got a new watch, body spray, the movie "17 again" & some baby girl items on top of lots of other things.

Robert smilin:) for the camera while he waits to open presents. Boy was he excited when the time came. Not about having to unwrap his gifts but being able to play with them after. He got a vtech laptop, fisher price keyboard, santa potatoe head & a sponge bob tick-tac-toe mat game just to name a few. Boy was he a spoiled 2 year old this christmas from santa claus, his parents & both sets of grandparents.

Lil' Danny got an mp3 player to put his favorite songs on. He also got some bionicles, pajamas & movies from his grandparents in Utah along with some army lego sets & a spiderman tick-tack-toe mat game from his Grandparents in Arizona plus many many other things. Christmas was good to this 6 year old for sure.

The boys had a wonderful Christmas this year & enjoyed having Big Danny home to celebrate this Christmas. They got lots of toys, dvd's & tons of candy was found in there stockings. Santa brought our family a Nintendo Wii & we enjoyed spending quality time playing bowling & other great games together. This Christmas was a good one for our family & we were very blessed!!

ROBERT'S 2ND BIRTHDAY

Robert our "chunky monkey" had a great birthday this year. He loved all his presents but loved a whole lot more the chocolate cake that Lil' Danny helped to make for him. We did enjoyed eatin a piece of cake even though it was covered in spit from Robert trying to blow out his trick candles. My how time has flown by & Robert is 2 already. Good thing is we have been dealing with the terrible 2's stage we'll before he even turned two so we are prepared for it. Guess Robert couldn't wait & wanted to get an early start.

We have a saying in our house for Robert which is "if Robert is being too quiet then he's up to no good". Which that saying has rang true to many times to count . He is such a sneaky little one & always trying to see what he can get away with & us not know or catch him.

Robert could of cared less about his presents & all he wanted was to eat his cake. mmm!!

Birthdays just go to show you that no matter how often you wish your kids could stay so sweet & little forever, they have to grow up & turn another year older but all the wonderful memory's of them at certain ages stays the same & will last a lifetime:)

Lil' Danny had so much fun at his 6th birthday party with his friends. They all enjoyed jumping on the trampoline & swimming in the pool, eating pizza & as you can tell by Lil' Danny's face in one of the pic's enjoying delicious cupcakes.

And to top it all off Lil' Danny got to open lots of presents. Even though allot of Lil' Danny's friends he made when we first got here have moved away & couldn't be here for his party he has a great personality & made new friends rather quickly. He was sad to have his birthday party come to an end because he was having so much fun but he did enjoy giving all his friends transformers masks & goodie bags to mark the party officially over & his new year of being 6 years old just beginning.

You only get to turn 6 once in your life so we hope this will be a day that Lil' Danny will never forget & remember forever!!

At night here you can always count on the geckos to be hanging around the outside house walls. Some even are sneeky & get inside the house but they are not dangerous & eat spiders they find.

As for the big toads they are always hanging or should I say hopping around in the grass. We have even seen some bigger than the ones in the pictures. These ones decided to chill out in the boys swimming pool.

Lil' Danny is always tryin to or askin us to catch a gecko or a toad so he can keep it as a pet because he thinks they are so cool & neat. Guess these animals are just another bonus to us living in wonderful Hawaii!!

We are so blessed & grateful to have a vehicle. It may not be a nice fancy bran new '08-'09 car but if we have learned anything from our past mistakes & parents it is "to pay cash for anything so you avoid debt". We love not having a car payment & being able to say we "own" our car is so wonderful. Plus it is so nice to not have a huge insurance bill to pay every month because our car is a '92 & we own it so we only need half coverage. It may not be a bran new car but it is in good condition, runs great, we own it & it has blessed our family so much.

We'll as you all probably know we are expecting baby #3. The due date is set for February 9th. Of course give or take some days if the baby comes early or late. We all are very excited to welcome another addition to our family. We don't really care about what we are having just as long as the baby is healthy & has all ten fingers & toes. But I-Mindy am secretly hoping for a girl. I really miss all the things from my childhood. Like playing barbies , my little pony's & cabbage patch dolls with my sister. Danny says if he sees Lil' Danny or Robert playing with barbies he will go crazy nuts. So you can see why I secretly want a girl but will ultimately be grateful with what ever we get blessed with. And having to playing batman, lego's & army men if our 3rd child is a boy wouldn't be all that bad. Believe it or not you actually start to enjoy those things after the 2nd boy has arrived. We now have our car officially licensed & registered. WOOHOO!!! No more having to pay for taxi's to get places & Danny is able to drive to work & back without having to worry about rides. Our car is a big blessing for us & our family.

As you know pregnancy wise my blood sugar level came back the first time high at 208 & came back 231 the second time. My doctor has me on medication that should help lower my blood sugar level & prevent me from getting gestational diabetes or having more problems than needed. I had to cut out all sodas & sugary drinks & now have to watch what I eat to avoid consuming lots of food containing sugar. Basically I have to eat like I am a diabetic but without all the pills and test meters being involved. We are hoping that the medication will do it's job but who knows. My blood pressure is slightly elevated & I am having trouble gaining the weight I'm supposed to. It is just hard for me to get used to needing to eating 6 small meals a day & having to increase my calorie intake by about 300 but I am working on that. Other than that I am doing good & feel blessed that my problems aren't allot worse than they are:)

Danny had his surgery on the 13th of August & all went we'll with that. We were very blessed that his condition wasn't something life threatening. He has been in allot of pain since the surgery but that is to be expected with any surgery. The doctor did give him some med's to help with the pain & they seem to be doing there job so far. He got a week off from work to recuperate & rest up then he will be on what's called "profile" at work for 30 days which means he can't do any heavy lifting or do morning p.t exercises like push ups or sit ups. The only thing he will be able to do at work is walk. But what ever he needs to do to become fully healed up, he says he will do.

Lil' Danny is in love with 1st grade & also getting in trouble. He has a homework paper that has mon-fri on it & will list what he has for homework to do each day & on the other side it has the same thing but it's not for homework, it's for school behavior & progress. The teacher will write notes or concerns about lil' Danny's progress or things she feels he needs to work on. And also she puts a check & writes what Lil' Danny did that day to get in trouble. School has been in for 2 weeks & he has gotten already 5 checks from the teacher. 2 of the checks were on the same day.
He got checks because he was talking during a test, & he was playing in the boys bathroom & the biggest of all that gets him checks is not listening & following directions/instructions. We hope that this doesn't continue & that he is just still adjusting & getting used to a new teacher & new classroom kids & all. He does have more homework now. He went from 1 page homework in kindergarten to 2-3 pages of homework in 1st grade which he doesn't like but it needs to be done. He also loves to have school breakfast & lunch which makes us very happy:)

Robert is getting chunkier by the minute. He loves to open up the fridge & pull out all types of food. His favorite is cheese. He is always handing us string cheese to open & can't get enough of it. One day I-Mindy found Robert in the kitchen eatin a block of velveta cheese & saying mmm, mmm, mmm. Also he will pull out juice boxes or yoohoo's all the time. It's like he can't get enough of them. We bought a couple child safety proof lock things that you can put on your fridge or oven to keep kids out but with Robert none of them worked. We have a feeling he will be very smart in school. He has learned where his eyes are & points to them saying "eye" & when you ask him where his nose is he instead of pointing to it he puts his finger up it, says "no" & laughs. We have a hard time keeping a straight face & telling Robert "no that's gross".

But it's like we say, "Because of Robert & Lil' Danny we can always count on our good old

~OUR LITTTLE HELPER~

How great it is to have a helper around the house. Our chunky monkey Robert who isn't even 2 yet loves to help unload dishes from the dishwasher. Robert is also a good helper at putting laundry in the dryer, loves to help fold laundry by handing clothes to us out of the laundry basket & best of all... he throws away his own diapers in the garbage. HURRAY!!! for mommy's little helper. It's little things like this that make us love our chunky monkey even more :)

THE 1st DAY OF SCHOOL

HURRAY!! The 1st day of school did arrive on the 31st of July. It was sad to see Lil' Danny go to 1st grade because it meant our son was growing up but we were so happy for him as well to have finished kindergarten & moving on to the next grade level. He cried when I-Mindy told him that we needed to look at new backpacks while school shopping. He is so in love with his star wars backpack that he had from kindergarten & just didn't want to give it up for a new one. In a way it was a good thing because it was still in good condition & it saved us some $$$ from having to buy a new one.

His new 1st grade teachers name is Mrs. Fukagawa. Now how you pronounce we aren't even sure & if you ask Lil' Danny what his teachers name is he says something not even close to her actual name. But it is so funny to hear him try to say it. We are grateful & love the fact that there is a bus that comes to pick up Lil' Danny. When I-Mindy see the bus pull up it reminds me of the story my dad would tell from his childhood about how it could be a whiteout blizzard of falling snow outside & yet the bus driver was always there to pick him up no matter what. Now we here in Hawaii don't have to worry about the blizzard of snow preventing the bus from picking up kids but when there is strong winds or its raining so bad that roads are becoming flooded then you won't see a bus driver at all. I know it is so weird huh, that they close schools here for stuff like that. But what can we say...that's Hawaii for you!!

Hurray!! The time did come when I-Mindy found myself takin lil' Danny school shopping. It so reminded me of when I was little & my Mom would give each of us kids there own day to go school shopping with her & have lunch. Such great memories I had & now taking my son school shopping for 1st grade is so unbelievable to me. It just shows you that life moves on whether you want it to or not. Lil' Danny had such fun being treated to Burger King, playing in the play place & going school shopping. I just hope that as he gets older he can look back at school shopping with his mom as wonderful memories like I do with my school shopping days & my mom. Now when Robert gets school aged

I would hope that he has wonderful memories

of school shopping with his Mom or Dad as well. It's so amazing the little things from your childhood that you remember... you end up treasuring the most:)

Our boys sure couldn't but did enjoy having a bigger pool since there old one had a nice sized leak & repair kits were not working. Or could it be the repair kits would of worked if a blond & polish weren't trying to fix it? Shh!! Don't answer that. Guess the great thing about Hawaii is summer time is a year round thing & we'll always have tans. (that is of course if we don't forgets sunblock & end up fryed like crispy bacon).

So here it is. Our belated 4th of July message to you all. As you can tell we are huge slackers on this stuff. Maybe Mindy being a blond & Danny being polish doesn't help things but hey at least we are trying so you could give us some credit. The cake Lil' Danny helped make & then Robert helped eat it:) We have Lil' Danny who loves to help cook & bake & then we have Robert who just loves to eat, eat, eat the food, cookies, pretty much anything that is edible.

We never really understood the full meaning of the 4th of July until Danny found himself in Iraq fighting for our country & I Mindy found myself praying & hoping every day that he will return safely home. Much gratitude we have for all the men & woman who have served our country, chosen to serve our country & are serving our country right now because without them we would not have freedom & the many blessings in life that we sometimes take for granted. On both sides of our family's, we have family members who chose to serve our country & we say "THANK YOU" to them for what it is they did & may be still doing. It doesn't matter whether you are serving in the Air Force, Army, Marines, US Navy, etc. They all have the same purpose & are fighting for the same reason......
To keep this nation FREE, to keep us FREE!!!

The boys went swimming on the 4th & had a blast. Lil' Danny said "I need the goggles & floaty arms on so I don't drowned" even
though the water only came up to his knees.

He can be so silly at times. Robert loved going down the slide backwards on his belly & splash, splash, splashing to make Lil' Danny mad!! By the time they were done swimming we, (Danny & Mindy) were pretty wet thanks to Robert. Then we had a wonderful bbq outside with a couple friends in Danny's unit. With the nice cool Hawaii breeze & bbq grilled ribs on our plates we were enjoyin the rest of the lovely 4th of July.

This is as close as we could come to fireworks without getting in trouble since on base you are not aloud to do them. Lil' Danny sure had fun & Robert fell asleep before the night of sparkler fun could even begin but as Lil' Danny said "that's fine Robbys asleep because more for me to do":)

What a wonderful Father's day we
celebrated this year. Even though we didn't have our own father's around us it still was a good one.

We were so happy to express our love & gratitude to Danny for joining the army. So many wonderful blessing we have received

from his decision. It does suck to be

far away from family but all the good

that has come

our way is just wonderful.

To be blessed with a nice roof over our head, financial stability & medical benefits are just some of the many wonderful blessings we have received from his decision. So we thank him deeply for giving & providing his family with a wonderful life.

We also say THANK YOU to our own father's for

being such wonderful dad's & giving great advice

that has helped us through out our life's & still

does today. Even though at times they may be

weird, we will still always love them for doing

the best they could & providing us with the

important things in life when we were kids.

Yes it has been a while, a long while we noticed since out last blog got posted & do we feel so terrible about it. Yes we do. People must be thinking we dropped off the island of Hawaii & are gone forever. But at last we are still here & enjoying life. Besides the hot weather were dealing with, cockroaches we have had to kill & the birds chirping 24/7 we are doing good.

Lil Danny has one more month of summer then it's time to hit the books in 1st grade. His favorite saying "I'm going to 1st grade to get smarter than you". Guess the good thing is he has a positive attitude:)

Robert is still being a handful and mischievous at times but the things he does to make us laugh helps wipe away the terrible fits & tantrums he decides to have every now & then. But we still love him=)

Danny & me (Mindy) are doing good. Danny does need to have surgery to take care of his cirrhosis lymphoma. He has to meet with a surgeon to go over the whole procedure & then he will get a date set up for his actual surgery. I (Mindy) am enjoying but disliking having Lil' Danny off for summer.

When you have the two boys together all day you get ... lots of fighting over who gets the last cookie, pushing & shoving over who gets to huge daddy first, & the screaming that comes out of Robert is so unbelievable. But just the wonderful joys you get to experience as a parent. Aren't we all so lucky:) Just as we start rewinding back to the days when we were saying"oh he is such a cute angel" reality sets in & we get hit with a pillow from the boys arguing & fighting over...
oh who knows, everything!! But would we wish we could change our life? Not for a minute. Our house may be full of craziness but when you combine that with the lots of love, it makes our "Family Life N Hawaii" PERFECT!!

Hey to all our fam & freinds,
We'll life is going good here in lovely Hawaii. LIL" DANNY-is getting excited for school to end. Only 2 more weeks of school left to go. We are so happy for Lil' Danny because his teacher told us he is ready to move up to 1st grade. It means harder work and more homework to do but he is up for the challenge. He will have almost 2 months of summer & then he returns to school on july 31st. I (mindy) am wondering how crazy he is gonna drive me being home with his brother for those 2 months. Our CHUNKY MONKEY ROBERT-is getting chunkier everyday. He has figured out how to open the fridge & just help himself to whatever. We bought a child lock for the fridge but it took him only about an hour to figure out how to by pass the lock and still get in the fridge. Him & Lil' Danny can eat & eat & then 10 minutes later be wanting a snack. They have these huge appetites I guess because they are boys but were they put all the food we would really like to know. DANNY-is doing good with work. So far he likes being in the army. He got promoted up to an e-4 instead of being a e-3 wich is great for him. I-MINDY am doing good. Enjoying military life so far & living in Hawaii isen't all that bad but I do miss being back in the mainlands. We are very grateful of Dannys choice to be in the military because our family has been trully blessed with little things & big things that we would not have otherwise. We are excited to go on vacation & explore Hawaii this summer with our boys. There is alot to see & do on the island we live on. So to sum us all up we all are doing good and enjoyin "Family Life N Hawaii".

Mother's day is a time to remember all the wonderful moments that you & your mom shared, all the wonderful things your mom has done for you & remember the millions of reasons why you love your mom. Lots of people say "no one can take the place of there mom" & for me that is so true. Living in Hawaii has made me realize just how important my mom is to me & no one can step in her shoes. Until I have walked the countless miles she has walked in her shoes I will never truly know how hard or how easy being a mom was for her but am so grateful that she is my mom. And there are those people (like me) who when they were little would say "when I grow up I want to be just like my mom". Now having 2 kids & being a mom myself some days I find myself saying the same things my mom would say or doing things the same way as my mom would do. So in some ways I did grow up to be just like my mom. The older I get I can see a little more of my mother in me everyday. Everything my mom did, she always did it with love & I hope that I can be a mom to my kids just like my wonderful mom was to me. I leave you with a quote that I found & like that says

My mothers day was a wonderful one. My 2 boys had given me a foot spa for my feet. I don't think I will ever get up & walk again now that I have jets & bubbles to
relax my feet. I have always seen them in the store but never really thought I needed one until today:) My hubby & boys got me a new patio set for our backyard & I just love it. The fact that we have a backyard now to put a patio set is so great & the thought of being able to eat dinner sometimes outside with the nice cool breeze of Hawaii has me so excited. Or to just be able to relax & drink some lemonade while my boys play sounds
so wonderful. This will truly be a

Lil' Danny's mothers day gifts.

He had made me these mother's day gifts at school. I could feel the love that Lil' Danny put into these gifts when I opened them up & it made me feel so special & lucky to be a mom. Now I can truly say that I know how my mom felt when her kids would make her gifts at school. Even though my son put that I weigh 3030 pounds, the fact that he thinks I am as PRETTY as a PRINCESS & he wouldn't TRADE me for a VIDEO GAME fills my heart & makes me feel so blessed to have Lil' Danny as my son. The love that comes from gifts handmade with love by your child are PRICELESS!!

Today Robert brought us laughter. As you will notice he is thinkin very hard about what he should do. We assumed he's thinkin hmm....play with my toys, watch television, pick on my brother Danny., get a snack. But as you can see we were wrong and he decide he wanted to be Mrs potato head instead. I (Mindy) hurried and grabbed the camera to take a picture. We all were laughing so hard & Big Danny said "Robert you are weird". (weirdness runs in our family so he fits in perfectly) Then Lil' Danny said to Robert "Robby, the potato head puts stuff in it's butt so you need to have stuff in your diaper to be a potato head silly". We'll good thing for Robert because he did have stuff in his diaper, only what was in there wasn't very pleasant smelling. One of the million reasons why we love

Robert decided today to have some fun with the
paper towels as you can tell. I at first was mad at him but then I just
laughed & laughed & couldn't stop laughing at how funny he looked.

He had the paper towels draped over him & was giggling & smiling. So cute & adorable to hear & watch. Makes me feel so blessed as a mom to have moments like these that are priceless to the heart. And who would of thought paper towels could be so entertaining? Our "chunky Monkey" Robert of course:)

OUR MUCH NEEDED BEACH TRIP

Our family took a trip to one of the beaches here in Hawaii on Saturday April 18th & had an awesome time. It was so nice to just have fun as a family. Lil' Danny cried when we tried to get him to go out further in the water (waist deep for him) with his boogy board but enjoyed
himself by staying close
to shore. Robert kept
thinking the sand was
edible & trying to eat
it but had lots
of fun in the water.
Danny & me
(Mindy) had a blast going snorkling at the beach. We saw some really cool fish
in the water. The sand got so hot
that it was
burning our feet
that day. Plus some
shoulders & backs
got a little to
much sun & now
the pain is killing
us (danny & mindy).
Teaches us to
"not forget" next
time to put
sunscreen on ourselfs.
We finished our
beach trip off by
going to Denny's
for dinner to make
the day complete.
Lil' Danny ate a bunch of scrambled eggs, lots of fries & 3 huge pancakes. (Talk about a hungry kid) We had a great time spending the day
together as a family & the beaches here in Hawaii are so beautiful. Makes living here so worth it.

(he can read a good bunch of them all by himself) And he got a star wars lego ps2 game from his grandparents in Utah plus lots of colored eggs, eggs, & more eggs.

Hello Fam & Friends,

We had a great time coloring Easter eggs on Saturday as the pic's will show you. Lil' Danny had the most fun coloring the eggs while Robert as you can tell by his pic' had the most fun eating the eggs. They just looked so delicious to him that he couldn't wait till the next day. Sad :( to say but we lost 2 eggs to the "Chunky Monkey's belly" (Robert) but we still had a blast. Mom you will be amazed at me because... Now don't faint or anything when I tell you ok... I remembered how to boil the water this time:) Shocking I know but !!HURRAY!! for me.

Here at our community center they had an Easter party for the kids. Lil' Danny got his picture tooken with the Easter Bunny. He was scared at first but then finally went up and got his pic tooken. Hello all-Fam & Freinds,

We hope that you will find reading our blog page more enjoyable now since we figured out how to decorate it & add music and all. Took us a while to figure it out but HURRAY WE DID IT!! The Jakimowicz family is good. Been a while since our last blog got posted & we apologize for that. We have been enjoying some much needed family time together since Big Danny's been home. It was nice that Lil' Danny had his 2 weeks spring break time around when Big Danny was taking his block leave time. They have had so much fun spending time together doing stuff. Lil' Danny returns to school on this Monday the 6th & I Mindy am so happy for that. Lil' Danny wishes it was spring break all the time. Of course which kid wouldn't right? Robert is doing good as well. Eatin like crazy & cranky some days really bad. Between teething & the already terrible 2's stage he can make us want to pull out all our hair some days but we love him because he sure does have a way to make us laugh & giggle:) So you are not here reading a huge blog that we wrote we are gonna write shorter ones telling you all about the good stuff happenig over here still & of course keep you updated on new & exciting news. Family Life is GOOD!!

Hey Fam and Freinds,
Life is good right now. Lil Danny just started his spring break today. Over here they get 2 weeks spring break which is weird but makes sense because they start school here a month earlier then back home. Lil Danny is super excited to have spring break here so he can play with his best friend Brice who is leavin the island on the 19 of April to go home for good. He doesn't really understand that his best freind is goin home and not comin back but we have a feelin that when that day comes Lil Danny will be very sad. Alot of his friends on our street have moved off the island and now to lose his best freind will be hard for him but all a part of military life I guess. The beginning of May we have parent teacher conferences with Lil Danny's teacher and his teacher will let us know if he is ready to move on to 1st grade or feels he needs to repeat kindergarten. We hope that he is ready for 1st grade but if he isn't then repeatin kindergarten might be a good thing for him. Help refresh him on all that he has learned in kindergarten so the following year he will for sure be ready for 1st grade. He so far has done well in school and has learned and improved so much on what he knows compared to when he first started school. He misses playin with his cousin's Hailey & Alyssa and thinks its funny pickin on his brother Robert.

Robert is doing good. He has become a ornery cranky child because he has 4 more teeth comin in. 2 on top and 2 on the bottom. Once these teeth are in he will have the front of his mouth complete. Hurray for that!! We will be glad when the teethin stage is over. He is always wantin to eat. He can pack away food like no other and he'll eats lunch or dinner and then 15 minutes later he is right there by the fridge wantin more. He is never satisfied with what he has in front of him to eat. He enjoys playin with his brother when Lil Danny isn't pickin on him and enjoys bein outside in his swing or playin on his slide. He loves to take baths but loves to splash the water more. It's like you need to wear a poncho when you give him a bath to avoid gettin soaked.
Big Danny and myself are doing good. Big Danny started his 30 day block leave last week Thursday and is happy for that. I (Mindy) am just wonderin if I am gonna go crazy havin Big Danny home for 30 days and Lil Danny home for 2 weeks at the same time. But it is good because Lil Danny and his Dad will have 2 weeks to spend together without school takin up most of the day. Some much needed father-son bonding time. Other then the new news you read about we are just takin our good life one day at a time here in "Family Life N Hawaii"

New Years Letter

Hey to all our Fam & Freinds,

We'll since Danny's return home I (Mindy) feel I have so many things in my life to be grateful for. It was very hard for me to leave my Family who I have always had around me and leave Utah, the place I call home but I knew the longer I stay in Utah the harder it would be for me to leave. Since bein here in Hawaii I have learned so many things, Like its not easy to stand on your own two feet but yet it can be done, 2 boys can drive you nuts but are a blessing, That 5$ for milk is better than no milk, Trials and tribulations come but misery is optional, Look not at what you've lost but at all that you still got, Be grateful for family but pray no one notices there weird, Love the sun but love sunscreen more, Enjoy the many birds but wish they would migrate south for a while, Rain isn't a bad thing but snow is more fun to play in, Cockroaches are friendly but geckos are friendlier, Technology is awesome but for blonde's hard to figure out, Bug spray is good but dead bugs is better, Remember there 3 hours ahead so we are 3 hours behind & most importantly life can be tough but you are capable of being tougher.
Lil' Danny had his 1st field trip yesterday and I was worried that he would get lost or not listen or something but he was fine. He got to see a play and said he enjoyed it. He is doing good in school. He is starting to read little 5 page books all by himself which I think is so good. Some people say that over here the school system isn't as advanced as in the states but I don't really know a difference since this is Lil' Danny's first year of school. We are just hoping that he is ready for 1st grade but if not then that's fine to. Every child is different and learns different.
Robert is a handful. He is our "Chunky Monkey" because he has those chubby cheeks like a monkey and a nice big belly to fit the profile. He constantly is wantin to eat eat eat. Where he puts all of it I would like to know. He is still clinging to big Danny like crazy. He just missed his dad lots. Robert is learnin to defend himself against Lil' Danny. They constantly are pickin on each other but with me (Mindy) growin up with 4 brothers I figured it would happen sooner or later.
Big Danny has adjusted to life being back home just fine and can't wait till he gets his 30 day block leave time to spend with his family. Lil' Danny has his spring break in the middle of big Danny's block leave so that is a good thing for the two of them. It will give them time to spend together without Lil' Danny havin school.
I (Mindy) am doing good. Adjustin to Big Danny bein home ok. More laundry to do and dishes to wash but the extra help I get makes it all worth it. I'm just takin life outnumbered by boys one day at a time and appreciating my good old "Family Life N Hawaii"

Life is GOOD!!

Hello to all our Fam & Freinds,
Like this blog states "Life is GOOD". Things are slowly but quickly returning back to normal with having Big Danny home. We all are so excited to be able to call our house a home now that Big Danny has returned. Little Danny was so excited to have his Daddy meet him at the bus stop after school yesterday and also have him be there at the bus stop today after school. It is so nice to have help now with Little Danny's homework and givin the kids baths, ect. Somethings I am very glad that I (Mindy) get a break from. The army recommends that the first couple weeks you don't put to much family load on your solder & give them time & space to readjust to life but Big Danny has jumped in and picked up the slack on helpin me out with things no questions asked. And for that I am so grateful. It is weird for me (Mindy) to now have an adult conversation with someone other than on the phone with Fam & Freinds & not be talkin to a 5 & 18 month old. My favorite part of the day since Big Danny's been home is being able to just sit at the dinner table & talk about what Little Danny did in school or talk about Fam news back home or whatever. It is so good to have a home cooked family dinner together. Now its not like mom's full house of fam on sundays watchin afv & havin fam dinn dinn but it still is very nice. Big Danny says he is so grateful to be home & not havin to share a room with 3 other people like he did in Iraq. He says he missed his family, a real bed to sleep in, real pepsi soda, air conditioners & ceramic toilets. I guess when your in Iraq you appreciate all the little things we over here are used to havin & take for granted everyday. He says Little Danny looks the same just a little taller & Robert he recognizes a little. Robert was about 6 & a half month the last time Big Danny saw him and now he is 18 months and walkin & talkin. Kids grow up fast thats for sure. We all thought the day would never come when Big Danny would return home, but at last he is finally home and in one piece. (thanku lord).So all you fam & freinds who worry to much, We say "Stop" worrying because we are doin good and just enjoyin our wonderful yet crazy days with 2 boys here in "Family Life N Hawaii".

Hurray,Big Danny is Home!!!

To all our Fam & Freinds,
Just lettin you all know that Big Danny Arrived home from Iraq last night and is doing good. Boy was Little Danny so excited to see his dad. And Robby too. Robby just hugged & hugged his dad for a long while. There was about 400 solders there last night at the welcome home ceremony and when I heard them say that I was thinkin how am I gonna be able to find Big Danny in a sea of solders but when the time came to find your solder and all I told little Danny to look for the solders with glasses relizin that Big Danny wears glasses and that helped to narrow in the search & find him alot quicker.(I guess having to wear glasses does come in handy)Boy was reuniting with him sweet & long over due. Little Danny is so happy to have his daddy back and Robby is still adjusting to him being here but I think will do fine. I never knew how much stuff soldiers had & needed until Big Danny came home with all of his.(and men say us women have alot of junk, it goes both ways) So far readjustin to him being home hasn't been that hard. Life goes on, just adden a fourth member to the mix. (I am out numbered by boys , HELP!!)It will be good to have an extra set of hands to help out now with the boys. Big Danny is excited to be home home and not havin to live in the barracks until we would of arrived in Hawaii. It was hard for me to leave Utah where I spent my whole life growing up and leave my fam who I have never been so far away from but it was all worth it to see Little Danny get to run and hug his Daddy last night. Sure there have been good days and bad days since I've been here but being able to be at the welcome home ceremony last night made up for all the bad ones. We are just so Grateful & Thankful that Big Danny was able to return home to us ok and well.

Yippy, Good News

Hello all our Fam & Freinds,
We'll I got news that Big Danny will be arrivin in Hawaii tomorrow evening finally. We have waited long enough. Boy is Little Danny so excited for tommorrow. It can't come fast enough for any of us. He will get Saturday, Sunday and Monday off before havin to return to work. I am glad about when he is gettin here because I realized that Little Danny has no school on Sat. or sun. so he will have 2 full days to spend with his dad and not have to worry about school and homework and all. That will be so nice for both of them. Then he has to go to work for two weeks straight workin everyday except Sunday. Then he get his 30 day block leave, where he doesn't have to go to work for 30 days. That is gonna be so wonderful, only bad thing is Little Danny has school mon-fri but will get to spend time with his dad after school and on the weekends. Then Big Danny returns to his normal work schedule after his block leave time is over.
The kids are good. I took some really cute pics of them in the tub last night. Just need to figure out how to put them on the computer so the whole fam can see em. Robert made a hug water mess and got me wet last night. He loves to splash, splash, splash!!! And Danny loves to cry, cry, cry, because the water is splashin in his face. I remember bein at crystal springs with the fam for vacation and Robby loved to spash, splash, splash in the pool:) Oh I found last week a big not metal but plastic radio flyer wagon that has 2 seats built in with buckles and cup holders on both sides. You can fold the seats down and hide them too. Anyhow it was so covered on the inside with mud but I put a little elbow grease and some soap and water too it and it looks almost bran new. A 100 dollars wagon I got for free cause some one was just throwin it out. Oh and on this week Tuesday some one was throwin out a really nice blue and orange slide like the one that mom and dad have in there back yard. Nothin wrong with it. I got it for free.. Here people are movin all the time and they junk out lots of good stuff. I have found so many nice things(dressers,desks, shelves) and more. All in good condition. People here must be rich to be able to throw away nice stuff like what I have found. But like I say "one mans junk becomes my found *free* treasures". If I can find things for free and save me some green$ then "Family Life N Hawaii" is not bad.

Some new news

Hey to all our fam & freinds,
I received a phone call from Big Danny early this mornin and he said that he isn't sure exactly when he will be arrivin in Hawaii. It all depends he says on how long they are in Quate for and how long they are stuck in Germany and all. He said hopefully either Friday or Saturday but there are no guarantees on that. So now we are stuck in this watin game, watin to find out the infamous "when" will he arrive. Little Danny is a little sad but at the same time still very happy that his daddy is finally comin home. To have a date set would be like extra frostin on a cake (you don't need the extra calories but it is still good to have) When I have somethin set officially I will let you all know. The boys are doin well. Little Danny has become a fan of American Idol with me (don't know how Big Danny will like that news) & also Hell's Kitchen.We watched American idol last night and Little Danny said "Simons gonna say boo get off the stage". It is so nice that even though I don't have a girl me and Little Danny have somethin in common that we like. Danny got in trouble yesterday because he said a kid on the bus was buggin him so instead of tellin this person to stop he decided to spit in his face. Boy was I angry and had smoke comin from my ears. Danny got punished and he was mad about it but it is totally unnaceptable for him to do that to someone. He said "I promise, I won't do it again" thinkin that he won't be in trouble but he still was in trouble. To who ever he spit on I give my sincerest apology's too. The bus driver made Danny sit in the very front row of the bus this morning I guess so he can watch him & all. I am so glad that Big Danny is comin home so he now can deal with moments and situations like these. Less stress for me to deal with. Robby is good, Still hangin in the terrible two's & he's not even two yet. Boy are we in for an adventure with him. Danny is 5 going on 8 you'd think & Robby is 18 months goin on 4 feels like. But I guess I should enjoy them at these ages before they grow up and I end up missing them when they are little. Life is a journey & I'm just takin it one day at a time, the good along with the bad & livin my daily "Family Life N Hawaii".

Hey to all my fam & freinds,
We'll a wonderful day in Hawaii today. No rain, the sun is out and there is a nice cool breeze. For those of you that are surrounded by snow & freezin temps just picture you are here and hopefully you won't feel so cold:) Danny and Robert are good. They, especially Little Danny enjoyed talkin to alot of fam yesterday on the phone. It is good that we have alot of technology today(phone,Internet ect.) to keep in touch with fam & freinds that live far away from us. It help us not miss those we love as much and reassures us that they are doing fine. Big Danny will be home in three days from Iraq, on this week Thursday and boy is everyone here excited. I can't believe that the time is here for him to return already. We all miss him so much and I miss havin an extra set of hands to help out when I feel like pullin out all my hair. With 2 boys days like that come all to often. Like this morning Robert was playin or as Danny would tell the story messin with his toys & he got so mad & decided to hit Robert on the arm. Robert started to cry and then slugged Danny in the back in return (to Robby I say good for you not letting your older brother pick on you like that) We'll Danny came crying (yes Robert hit him hard enough to make tears)to me for some sympathy but I was fresh out after what I saw Danny do first. He told me "Robby hit me so you need to put him into timeout" I then explained to Danny that he hit Robert first & so if Robert needed to go into time out then so does he. Danny began to whine & said "no I didn't hit Robby I promise" I said ok lets ask him if you did. " Robby did Danny hit you?" meanwhile Danny is whispering in his ear "say no baby say no" (if that isn't a sign of a guilty person.) And Robby said "yeah". Danny got mad, hit Robby on the arm again & said "that's cuse you didn't listen to me & I'm now in trouble". You bet he was in trouble. Danny enjoyed some face time with a corner of the wall. Robby's tears eventually stopped & I thought for sure Robby would of hit him back. But Robby, turns out was waiting for sweet revenge. While Danny was doing time out Robby went and hit him in the butt and just laughed:). Robert is one smart kid to realize that Danny is helpless while being in time out. I couldn't help myself from laughing. Aren't all us moms so blessed to have moments like theses. If you ever need to laugh just keep on readin Good old "Family Life N Hawaii"

Hey Fam & Freinds,
Today wasn't a bad day. No school for Danny. Yippy for him, boohoo for me. He was happy bout that. He had a Valentines party yesterday at school & received a lot of valentines and candy. Danny said "I need to save some chocolates cause Grandma luvs chocolates". He had 2 brown lunch bags full of stuff and lots of stuff in his pants pockets. He had even 2 very smushed cupcakes in a ziploc bag in one of his pockets. How he managed to get them in his pocket along with everything else he had I still wonder? Robby enjoyed eatin but mostly wearin the valentines cookies Danny got. Danny was so nice to share with his brother. I asked Danny if his class liked his valentines & cookies and he said "yes and I told the class you can eat these cookies because my mommy, she didn't burn them":) I was embarrassed that he said that & just laughed & laughed!! That is one of the many good things about little Danny, he can always find a way to make you laugh:}
Just like we went to walmart today with a neighbor. Danny decides to let a loud fart out in the checkout line & before I got a chance to say somethin to Danny he blurts out very loud (mind you) "eww mommy that's gross, you don't fart" while fanning his face. Boy was I ready to crawl into a whole and hibernate. Just another wonderful reason why kids are such a blessing:)

My third blog. Hurray!!!

Hey fam & freinds. Today the rain has decided to come out:( It rains here like crazy but at least you don't have to shovel it. I miss seeing the white stuff but not being in it. Danny says he misses playin in the snow with Papa & James makin stuff.
Well I had my first experience doing an enema yesterday(no fun for you or your child)& I had to call & ask mom "how" you do one. Poor Robby was in so much pain from being literally plugged up. I was thinkin "I'm suppost to do what-no way". But sometimes in life you just have to do what you got to do and move on. You'll be glad to know that Robby is officially unplugged. Time to celebrate!! Danny had fun makin valentines & cookies for his class last night. He said "Mom make sure the cookies don't be burned ok". HURRAY for me cause they all turned out fine (we'll- besides the first batch) but I say that one don't count. *LoL*
Danny is excited to have a 4 day weekends (no school Friday or Monday) Yippee for me:( We'll time to change a poopy diaper, what a great way start the day-

My second blog. YIPPY!!

Lifes good here in Hawaii. NO RAIN. YEAH!! Just countin down the days (9) till Big Danny returns from Iraq. Boy are we all excited. Especially Little Danny. He misses his dad lots. Can't believe I have been over here this long and now Danny is returning home. Where did the time go. Feels like I just got here. Oh Yesterday Evening: Robby decided to climb on top of the coffe table and I told Danny to get him down please because I was in the middle of makin dinner. Danny decided instead of getting him down to hop onto the coffee table & try to pick Robby up and plopp him on the couch. Very bad idea cause needless to say Robby missed the couch & got a little fat lip from it & Danny got in trouble:( The response I got from Danny as to why he did it was "I wanted to see if Robby could fly". No blood was shead but a little boys lip will never be the same. Thanx for readin,

Hey to all my fam who I miss like crazy. We'll I did it. I got myself a blog so you all can keep up with my exciting yet drive me nuts kinda life here in Hawaii. And hopefully this blog does help you all not miss us as much and reassures you that we are doing great. I'm gonna try, (now notice the word "try") to put a blog on here every day . But don't get your hopes up to high cause I'm a blonde:) LOL Thanx for taking time to read my blog.
